Cardi B might have been launching a new single quickly. Last month, she previewed a new tune while out at a club and hinted that it would have been out faster than later. However due to the present coronavirus pandemic that’s swept the world, these release strategies have been put on a delay. Today ( March 12), she exposed on Twitter that the virus has actually been the reason for her radio silence.
Her message coincides with the sentiment that she expressed in a recent video published to Instagram where she discusses the effect of this coronavirus pressure. “I know shit getting genuine,” she stated while pacing in a room, expressing fear of the dispersing outbreak.
It seems like permanently because the world got a taste of what new music that Cardi needs to offer, of which she just recently communicated to Style that she questions whether fans would even associate with it. After the success of her 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy, she launched a new single, “ Money,” that fall.
In 2015, she formally shared both “ Please Me” and “ Press,” 2 drastically different tunes that continue to reveal her range and hint at what we’ll get on her follow-up album that’s extensively believed to be dropping this year.
In addition to all of the music that she’s been launching, Cardi’s been busy in a variety of other ways. She starred in Hustlers with Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu in 2015 and she also got into the political arena when she sat down with governmental prospect Bernie Sanders for a conversation about raising minimum wage.
The bright side is that, as soon as this thing passes, Cardi B will be prepared to start once again. And to that, we commemorate.
